Friday, March 20th – MP Mike Sullivan’s – Disability Tax Credit Workshop
Time: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Location: York West Active Living Centre, 1901 Weston Road
TOMORROW! DISABILITY TAX CREDIT WORKSHOP Dear Neighbour: Come learn all about this important tax credit and how it might save you money!
excerpt from flyer – “Join me and my colleague MP Peter Julian to find out all there is to know about the Disability Tax Credit. In our community, thousands of people with physical and mental disabilities may be eligible for an important tax credit that often includes a significant tax refund from the Canada Revenue Agency. My office wants to make sure that every eligible York South—Weston resident knows how to access this legitimate entitlement under the Income Tax Act. To that end, we are offering this special workshop to assist people in availing themselves to the Disability Tax Credit, which can be as much as $1,165 per year and can be claimed retroactively for up to 10 years. While the Income Tax Act stipulates that this is a non-refundable tax credit, it is transferable to spouses and other family members if the income of the person with a disability or infirmity is too low. If you’d like to learn more about the Disability Tax Credit, please attend this special workshop or contact my office at 416-656-2526. Sincerely, Mike Sullivan, MP”
