~ a growing and changing community
This year was RSCA’s second annual Community Street Yard Sale and I’m very happy to report it was A SUCCESS!
It was a perfect, beautiful, sunny day that brought people out of their houses and hang out and chat with their neighbours. 25 homes participated including kids setting up popcorn and lemonade stands.
gotta Love their entrepreneurial spirit!
I was glad to run around and take pictures and get to know the people in my community. There truly was something for everyone who came out to shop and explore. I also met some wonderful people that were helpful in giving me ideas on how to make it even better and bigger next year.Next Year? YES! Next year. The RSCA hopes to make this an annual event and down the road include music and bbq food.
Special thanks go to the office of M.P.P,Laura Albanese for their support and helping the RSCA to print off flyers that were posted around the community. She even came out to do a little shopping herself:)
