~ a growing and changing community
What a great day! This was the second year that RSCA organized a Community Clean up at Haney Park. What I thought would be a small number turned out to be bigger than I thought! We had in total 14 enthusiastic, environment caring participants of all ages.We met at Haney Park and once we got there we realized that the city had already come by within the last week to clean up the garbage so it was suggested by a few people that we take our gloved selves with bags in hand and cross the street to the east side of Jane St.Some of us did the park and then the rest of us crossed the street where the real issue was.
I should have taken ‘before’ pics because you would not have believed how much garbage was collected! 50 bags later along with chairs and other large items found we all did a great job in making the east side and the path going eastward to RockCliffe Avenue look beautiful.Thank-you to each and every one of you for taking a couple hours out of your day and care about where you live.
