CultureShock Community Arts Festival: Weston Village, August 12 -13, 2016!

Seeking arts lovers, artists, performers, vendors, volunteers!

An event for everyone – a FREE, all-ages arts festival hosted by Urban Arts in Little Avenue Memorial Park on Friday August 12th and Saturday August 13th, with live performances from musicians, dancers, poets and theatre performers; an artisan marketplace to showcase local vendors; interactive arts workshops in a variety of mediums; and a community fair to connect you with the organizations providing services to the community.

Rockcliffe-Smythe Community Association will be there – and you should be too! Don’t miss a beat. Plan to be there both days! Visit our table on Saturday to learn more about our upcoming initiatives, and participate in our fun t-shirt making workshop.

Visit http://cultureshockfest.ca/ to stay updated, full schedule coming soon.

Do you want to get involved?

If you are an artist or performer that can facilitate art workshops; an artisan looking to participate in the festival’s marketplace; a representative from a community organization to table at the Community Fair; or a volunteer looking for an exciting, fun, and educational volunteer experience, visit http://cultureshockfest.ca/ to find out more and get involved!

Now in it’s 11th year as an important part of community arts in our area, CultureShock celebrates the artistic vibrancy of our community and the diverse talent and cultural backgrounds of local residents. CultureShock is one of the main events of ARTS in the Parks, an annual initiative that brings arts events to parks across Toronto during the summer.
