~ a growing and changing community
November 1st is known as The Day of the Dead (a multi-day holiday focusing on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey) …..but not for the pumpkins of Henrietta Park!!.
Shane Jeffery from Snap’d (aka The WestsidesStory.com interviewing Jennifer.
Thanks to resident and community activist Jennifer Wellman who organized the event pumpkins big and small from the surrounding neighbourhood got to shine their lights bright one more time at the first annual Pumpkin Parade. 20 pumpkins lined up along the pathway lighting up the park with some of the pumpkins carved by the kids! There were some very creative carvings!
Jennifer is just getting started with this initiative and welcomes more ‘friends’ to get involved ,bring ideas to the table and help execute them.
